Somthing About Myself

I am a Parsi male born on 28th April 1974 in city Bombay in India. I belong to a descent family and I reside in Mahim area in Bombay. I stay with my wonderful parents and my younger brother. I am engaged to a wonderful female named Jenifer who I love the most. I have finished my computer course from Computer Point, Worli. I found Computer Point very much good in teaching and support. In other classes (no names please), the situation is like tutor comes, students are not there and when students are there, tutor is not there. My computer fees were paid by a very generous old couple residing at Worli who paid all of my computer fees which amounted to Rs. 9500/- in the year 1993-1994. If they would have not been there, I would not have been making this WEB page of mine. May god bless them with long and happy life.

I Love FoxPro - My Best Programming Language

DBase III+  is the first programming language I learned in my life. I learned many things like WordStar, Lotus, LAN etc in Computer Point and started working as Computer Operator in a reputed concern. That company had a contract with a programmer who used to develop softwares in FoxPro. I used to copy his PRG files into a separate directory and study it . Whenever he used to come, I used to ask him questions and to which he readily answered. By doing this for siz months or so, I got  knowledge of FoxPro and finally made a small package for myself. I showed that to the programmer to which he appreciated much. He asked me to join him and he will teach me all of  it. I readily did so. There I gained complete knowledge of FoxPro. Since then, I have been designing softwares in FoxPro for various customers. I have developed softwares like Accounts With Inventory, Accounts W/o Inventory, Selling Pagers, Selling Mobiles, Cheque Book Management and many more. Currently I am developing a package for :

A Transport Company located in Bombay having more than 70 offices thoughout India and head office located in Calcutta.

A Marketing company, situated in Bombay having office in Hubli, Calcutta.

indexing.jpg (6192 bytes)

Indexing Module : This is a .FXP which has to be executed in the directory which contains your .DBF files. This file will in turn, create another file named INDEX.FXP. You can use this file as your indexing module. All databases and their relevant index tags etc are taken into INDEX.FXP. Please take care that while executing INDEX.FXP, exclusive access to .DBF files are required i.e. if  you are going to use this module in a network environment, than all users will have to close their files.

Price : Rs. 250/- per copy

packing.jpg (9325 bytes)

Packing Module : As we all developers in FoxPro know that when  record(s) is/are deleted, they remain in database but are invisible. They can take sufficient amount of space and thus slow down the system. Now lets consider that a DBF has 3000 records. After first 1000 records, there are another 1000 deleted records and than again there are 1000 undeleted records. Now one can imagine how many disk space must have been used by these deleted / unwanted records. They also slow down the system. This packing module removes unwanted/deleted records from the DBF file and makes it fast and saves disk space. Execute pack.fxp in the directory where your databases (DBF files) are. This will inturn generate a file named PACK.FXP. You can use this file as your DBF compression module in your main program.

Price : Rs. 250/- per copy

splitter.jpg (14772 bytes)

File Splitter : There are many occassions when we have to distribute a file having size more than 1 MB. Files having size above one MB have always created a major tension for getting transported. Now here is the solution. Run this file and answer the questions asked. A text file is also available in the ZIP which is its help file. Best - Easy & fast and yet for free.
